About Us
The San Joaquin Geological Society (SJGS) is made up of people from all walks of life who share an interest in the geology of the San Joaquin Basin. Our members come from many geologic disciplines, and many different specialties, including petroleum, environmental, engineering, mining, hydro, seismic, and academic areas of geologic interest. The society is run entirely by volunteers, with most of our members living or working in the basin.
Please feel free to attend one of our meetings to learn more about our society. If you would like to receive our newsletter, please go to our membership page for more information.
